Paper, what Paper? As part of our learning experience in this course, we had to choose one out of three topics related to our six guest lecturers from all over the world during our Virtual Study Tour.

Which topic we've chosen?

Topic 3: The “Bali syndrome” and host-guest relationship / Hawaii Based on the provided article from Rosenbaum & Wong (2007) and further academic literature explain the “Bali syndrome”. Critically discuss in how far “exotic destinations” such as Hawaii can prevent to or respond to the Bali syndrome from a management point of view and foster an “authentic” hostguest relationship. Compare the findings of the article with the statements from the guest lecture of Kumu Ramsay Taum and your own experience with exotic destinations.
